The Public Relations Subcommittee is also responsible for the area’s Helpline, which provides an opportunity for one addict to help another addict on a personal, one-to-one basis. By maintaining a 24-hour-a-day phone service, Narcotics Anonymous is always available to those in need. This service connects the experience, strength, and hope of the fellowship with the still-suffering addict. The Helpline also provides meeting times and locations. Addicts are always needed to be available on the other end of the phone when someone reaches out. To get involved with the Helpline, come to a Public Relations sub-committee meeting.
